Magnetawan Inn Restaurant

Magnetawan Inn Restaurant has been an important part of the community of Magnetawan for over 80 years. Known to many as “June’s” after long time owner June Fleming the current owner’s Susan Fraser and Nancy Woodruff have kept many of the favourite items while adding their own touch and style to the restaurant. While there are not as many rooms available as when it was run as an Inn the restaurant does offer a beautifully renovated two bedroom apartment for nightly or weekly rental.
Susan and Nancy work hard to maintain and improve on the famous English style fish and chips, Sunday Buffets and friendly service.
Breakfast is served from 8 a.m. – 11:30 am with the lunch and dinner menus available after that. Coffee is still the low price of $.075 and patron report it is and excellent cup of coffee.
The lunch menu has a variety of sandwiches, burgers and salads with a couple of favourites being the Stacked Ham and Cheese on Foccacia Bread, Chicken Caesar Salad and the Classic Club House
The dinner menu is available from noon on but traditionally begins at 5 pm. Two features of the dinner menu are the Pan Fried Pickerel and the Chicken Parmesan. There is also a vegetarian lasagne that is popular with everyone.
The Sunday Buffets run from Mother’s Day through Thanksgiving. There are three sittings for your convenience beginning at 4 pm, followed by 5:15 pm with the last sitting at 6:30 pm. The very popular buffet features 6 salads, 6 hot foods, 2 appetizers plus potato and vegetable. That’s not all! Dessert is also included with several items to choose from. These include fruit cocktail, delectable squares, and homemade desserts like warm apple crisp and chocolate trifle.
Susan and Nancy also cater to weddings and special events both at the restaurant and off premise.
The owners are close friends who were both born and raised in the area. They have a deep interest in providing the town with a clean, friendly and reasonably priced place to meet and eat.
If you are coming to the area for a holiday or just passing through stop in at the Magnetawan Inn Restaurant for a hearty meal and don’t forget to try the “Fish and Chips”.
